Mt. Tamalpais 7/13/67
Catalog No. AOR-2.317
Held in June 1967, the Magic Mountain Music Festival was promoted by AM radio station KFRC and was perhaps the most widely publicized event of its kind that year. This event took place smack-dab in the middle of the “Summer of Love” and included many of the great bands of the day. The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, Moby Grape, Sparrow, Loading Zone, Country Joe & The Fish, and many others provided the music. A craft fair that included Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley was held in conjunction with the event. There were two posters made for this festival and both are shown in The Art of Rock. This poster was made in two pieces and for some reason, received two numbers in The Art of Rock so we are listing it under both.
The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 14" x 22". When placed side by side as intended, this piece measures 28" x 22".
