Matrix ,The Matrix 4/18-20/67
Catalog No. AOR-2.116
Prominently featured in “The Art of Rock” as plate number 2.116, this is our favorite of the many handbills produced for shows at the Matrix. The design features a man’s face done in the style of the Maori of New Zealand. The simple, clean design was used to promote a one man concert by Howlin’ Wolf - one of the more popular blues artist of the time period.
The original handbill was printed on yellow stock and measures approximately 8″ x 11″, although we have seen several copies from different sources that measure closer to 7″ x 10″.
