This incredible poster is the handiwork of the late John Moehring and was used for the 1969 Seattle Pop Festival. The show featured a veritable who’s who of musicians, including The Doors, Chuck Berry, Eric Burdon, The Byrds, Albert Collins, Bo Diddley, Led Zeppelin, and many others. This poster comes in two versions. The first features the band names in alphabetical order. The second version—offered here—highlights The Doors at the top of the listing. Apparently, Boyd Grafmyre, the producer, thought that The Doors would be the main act, but this show would be remembered as the time that Led Zeppelin followed The Doors and blew them away. These posters are printed on a foil stock and are seldom found in great shape.
The Type 1 original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 16" x 22½". This version features the Doors name mixed among the other performer names.
The Type 2 original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 16" x 22½". This version features the Doors at the top of the list of performers.
