Berkeley Community Theater 8/26/67
Catalog No. AOR-2.262
The Northern California poster scene developed not just in San Francisco, but in the Bay area, as well. Specifically, it thrived in Oakland, Berkeley, and Hayward. The University of California at Berkeley hosted concerts often and, after the closure of the Fillmore West, Bill Graham extensively used the Berkeley California Theater and the Oakland Auditorium.
This handbill by Greg Irons advertises a performance by Dave Van Ronk, Mimi Farina, and Fred Neil at the Berkeley Community Theater in 1967.
The original handbill was printed on thin white stock with purple ink and measures approximately 5½” x 8½“.
