Winterland 5/28/69

Catalog No. AOR-2.204

Held on May 28, 1969, this event featured Creedence Clearwater Revival, Elvin Bishop, the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and Santana. The People's Park protests in Berkeley were a seminal event in the Bay Area. Although initially a civic issue (an empty grass field was going to be turned into a parking lot by UC-Berkeley), it became a flashpoint for the needs of the community versus the needs of a state-run institution.

This handbill was printed on both green and white stock and measures approximately 4¾” x 7”.
