Carousel Ballroom 06/12/68
Catalog No. AOR-2.173
Stanley Mouse designed this interesting poster for a benefit show for Alton Kelley at The Carousel Ballroom in June 1968. The benefit was originally planned for May 8, 1968, as noted on the poster, but it was rescheduled for June 12. The Charlatans, Dan Hicks, Steve Miller, and Jefferson Airplane were slated for the event, but Jefferson Airplane cancelled because of the date change. For this reason, the posters had the old date and Jefferson Airplane overprinted in silver ink, and the new date was printed at the top in silver.
The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 16 ½” x 28 ½”.
The original handbill was printed on white stock and measures approximately 5” x 7”.
