Fillmore Auditorium 3/12/67
Catalog No. AOR-2.47
This interesting poster was used for a benefit at the Fillmore Auditorium and is entitled “Phoenix Dance.” The concert was given to raise funds to rebuild a bombed-out community center in Mississippi, and to send medical relief to North Vietnam via a ship named the “Phoenix.” The design is crudely drawn, but the choice of color makes the overall effect quite pleasing. This poster is very scarce in top condition and most copies have a fair amount of damage or aging.
The original poster was printed on white vellum and measures approximately 14″ x 19⅞″.
The original handbill was printed on white stock and measures approximately 8″ x 11″.
