Yardbirds at Earl Warren Showgrounds, Santa Barbara 5/10/68 by Frank Bettencourt

Catalog No. MSC-EWS.1968.05.10

UUsed to promote a May 10, 1968 show at the Earl Warren Show grounds in Santa Barbara, this poster was designed by Frank Bettencourt. This image has been printed twice. The second prints are quite common and seen often on eBay. Original printings are easy to identify by the location of the blue dot under the “10” in the date. Reprints all have the dot under the “Y” in “May.” This was one of the last shows that the Yardbirds would play on their final tour—the very last being a July 12, 1968 gig at Luton Technical College in Bedfordshire, England. Shortly thereafter, the Yardbirds became Led Zeppelin, and the rest is history.

The original poster was printed on thin white stock and measures approximately 17½" x 22½"
