Great Highway 8/21/70

Quicksilver Messenger Service at Great Highway 8/21/70 by San Andreas Fault

Catalog No. MSC-GHY.1970.08.21

TThis handbill was used to advertise the last Family Dog event on the Great Highway. The central image has the Family Dog logo half under water, and the last line of the text reads “Fall by before the Family Dog submerges.” The artist credit reads “SAF69,” but the show was actually held in 1970. This handbill is known as FD-700821 in the book by Eric King.

The original handbill was printed on white stock and measures approximately 8″ x 10″. There were two types of paper stock used — uncoated and coated. The coated version seems to be a bit scarcer.

Artist:
San Andreas Fault

Performers:
Quicksilver Messenger Service
