Matrix 12/6-8/66

Moby Grape at Matrix 12/6-8/66 by RAL Cards etc. &
Heinrich Kley - drawings

Catalog No. AOR-2.107

TThis Art of Rock piece is one of several that were designed for shows at the Matrix. The drawings on this poster were rendered by Heinrich Kley and are quite similar to the drawing on other Matrix posters of the period. This one features a bizarre drawing of a grape harvest from a nude figure that must be Mother Earth. At the bottom is a quote from the Koran - “There is a devil in every berry of the grape.”

The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 14 ⅛" x 19 ¾".

In late 2017, a new bootleg appeared on the market that is quite deceptive. It is printed on a smooth cream colored stock and there is substantial loss of detail in the drawings by Heinrich Kley. These are good enough to have fooled a couple of the less than knowledgeable dealers out there.
