Goose Lake Park, Jackson MI 8/9-11/70

Jethro Tull at Goose Lake Park, Jackson MI 8/9-11/70 by Terry Robeson

Catalog No. DET-GBR.1970.08.09

WWhile not a Russ Gibb or Grande Ballroom show, Gibb was called upon by the promoters to help out with the festival so it is included in the G/G series in Eric King’s guide. There were a number of different items made for the event, including posters, handbills, programs, bumper stickers and poker chip tickets.

The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 20" x 25". There are several variations of this poster as it was printed three times prior to the event. In around 2012, the artist sold numerous copies of two type of posters on eBay; we believe that around 20 total pieces were sold.

The Type A handbill was printed on white stock and measures approximately 5½" x 8".  Numerous fakes exist of this piece.

The Type B handbill was printed on white stock and measures approximately 8½" x 11". Numerous fakes exist of this piece, and real handbills are quite scarce.

The program was printed in comic book format and measures approximately 7¼" x 10¾".

This list is not exhaustive and there are many other items for this festival that we have not listed.
