Grateful Dead at Governors Hall Sacramento, CA 12/28/66 by Unknown

Catalog No. AOR-3.14

TThis early Grateful Dead poster is very rare. It was used to promote a show at the Governor’s Hall in Sacramento. There were two posters created for this show; this is the second type. The first may be found in The Art of Rock as number 3.13. The first version is exceedingly rare and seldom seen.

The second type, such as the one we offer, was printed on very thin paper, much like the paper used at the time for handbills. As a result, most of the surviving posters of this type are pretty damaged. We are lucky enough to be able to offer a superb example of this rare 1966 Grateful Dead item.

This original poster is printed on very thin paper and measures approximately 15⅜″ x 22″.
