TThis great-looking poster was designed by Steve Catron for a Santana show at the Carousel Ballroom in April 1968. Catron did some superb posters of the era and is best known for his Grateful Dead poster, “The Berry Dropper,” which is shown alongside this poster in The Art of Rock as plate number 2.163. This poster is every bit as rare as the Grateful Dead poster and has a sales record of just under $4,000 in 2008.
The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 15" x 22⅜".
The original handbill was printed on white stock and measures approximately 5" x 7".
