TThis interesting poster was used to advertise the Grand Opening shows at the Straight Theater over three days in July 1967. The lineup consisted of most of the big-name bands in the Bay Area at the time, and even included a sitar and jazz session on Sunday afternoon.
The interesting graphics were designed by Frank Melton who billed himself as “Straight Theater Graphics ©” and include a Mayan-looking central image.
The original poster was printed on thin white stock and measures approximately 19" x 25".
