TThis round handbill was used to promote the all-star lineup at the First Annual Newport Pop Festival. This was certainly one of the largest shows of the era and included the top acts of the day. Any items from this event are very scarce and seldom seen. A few handbills surfaced a few years ago, but other than that small group, you are unlikely to find any posters or other items from this show.
There are two types of original posters, both very rare:
Type A is printed on white paper in black ink and measures approximately 14″ x 23″.
Type B is printed on white paper in black ink and measures approximately 14″ x 22″.
The original handbills also come in two versions. Both are approximately 6″ in diameter:
Type A is printed on yellow paper in green ink.
Type B is printed on blue paper in green ink.
